Erika has been able to heal many aspects of her life through her yoga practice. She was given the opportunity to participate in the Sacred Hot Yoga Method while living in New Mexico. After receiving support from her mentor at the studio and her parents, she knew she needed to listen to her heart and complete her certification. She has been spreading the positive message of yoga ever since. From that time she has continued her education with such trainings as Yogiños:Yoga for Youth, The Yoga Joint’s Empower Movement Advanced Yoga, as well as studying different modalities through SoHo Yoga’s continued education program.

Erika values the ability to give back to her community through yoga. She loves teaching to a wide variety, including trade school students, young children in afterschool programs, and even teenagers at a private high school. Erika believes yoga is for everyone and has a strong passion for ensuring that class attendees know that yoga is more than the time you spend on your mat.

Yoga has provided Erika peace and calm in a topsy-turvy world. Her goal is for her students to find a place of calm and presence on the mat while breathing and connecting with their bodies. She provides a contagious energy that reminds students to smile and enjoy. Her classes will encourage you to challenge yourselves but recognize that you are limitless; forever growing and evolving. Life is a precious gift and gratitude is the highest habit to cultivate.
