OUR CLASSES

Our studio offers a broad variety of modalities, as well as heated and traditional (non-heated) classes. Our motto is to eliminate the reasons to say "no" to yoga. We offer our classes at a range of temperatures with class times that are 30, 45, 60 and 75 minutes long. Take a peek at our descriptions below and check out our schedule to see which classes and times suit you. All of our classes are open to all levels and we are here to help you find your own flow.

 

Abs-Assana

Come to play and we mean hard. Putting the practice of Tapas (discipline) to action in this heated 30 min express class. In this short burst of time together we will heavily focus on the major muscles that govern our stability and strength. Sculpting those mid sections and behinds. Butts n Guts. In other words; a class you can really get behind.

Core Flow

This class places a strong emphasis on spinal alignment, pelvic alignment, breathing, coordination and balance. We focus on developing a strong center through yoga with a pinch of Pilates. The exercises can be modified in range of difficulty, from beginning to advanced. Whatever your practice level, you will find a sweet sweat with our Pilates inspired Core class.


Flow, Roll & Release

Do you have stress, breathe air, and are you currently a human? We designed this class just for you! This class combines an invigorating Vinyasa flow with healing and rejuvenating Trigger Point Therapy. With our chaotic fast-paced lives, these nasty knots can become pretty gnarly and can cause pain and even a prolonged injury. So let's do something about it! We will spend 30 minutes warming up the body with a yoga flow that pairs perfectly and intelligently with what you'll be rolling out with the therapy balls for the remaining 30 minutes. Reduced stress, pain relief and increased range of motion are just a couple of the many benefits that we gain from rolling out these tight muscle fibers (knots). 


Fuse

This class is a focused set sequence of 21-26 postures which instill a sense of self-discipline, power, concentration and strength. A friend to all levels, this class has a little bit of everything. We will move slowly without any vinyasa flow between postures (aka no Chaturangas...if you think that a Chaturanga is a small dog, this class is perfect for you). As we layer each posture for various levels, this class is both truly challenging and accessible to any yogi and is the perfect blend of playfulness and focus. Although this class is essentially the same sequence every time, each teacher brings their own unique flavor, style and diversity.


Hot HIIT Yoga

Much like our incredibly fun sculpt class this too has high energy, good vibes, focused movement and an intense muscle burn. Hot HIT Yoga leans into the inspiration of circuit style with the perfect amount of yoga for length and that grounding energy. If you’ve ever taken High Intensity Interval Training, this will feel familiar, but a bit less intense. Circuit training is a form of conditioning that highlights endurance, resistance and aerobic exercises done in a loop. You will build strength, muscular endurance, shift that mood and have a blast while doing so!


Meditation

This gentle meditation begins with pranayama and breathwork to cleanse the energetic field as we slowly shift our focus from external distractions to calm the mind and bring you closer to your true bliss. This class is a guided journey through verbal and instrumental vibrations, sealing our practice in with meditative silence.


Power Flow

This Power/Vinyasa progressive flow is inspired by Ashtanga yoga, a more vigorous style of yoga. This class uses breath as the primary link between alternating poses and mind-body connection. We call this breath Ujjayi. Like the ocean, we will go through waves of energizing vinyasa flow, intense strong holding asanas and deep opening postures. Just add a pinch of some fun arm balances or some playful asanas and you’ve got nature’s ingredients that make up our power class.  Designed for intermediate to advanced yogis. However, all walks of life are welcome, just remember to pace yourself and take breaks when you need them. Our teachers are skilled to aid you in any pose, so please do not be nervous to show up if you're newer to yoga. We do recommend that you take a Hot Yoga or non-heated Yoga Flow class before attending any of our Power classes.


Kundalini

Kundalini Yoga is considered the "yoga of awareness” and is one of the more spiritual paths of yoga. This yoga practice focuses on moving energy up the spine to create an aha moment in our practice. We will be using chanting, mantra and meditation to strengthen the nervous system and immune system. This stimulating practice is mentally, physically and spiritually fulfilling. Let's get a little weird as you harmonize and strengthen your energies!


Sun Salutations Flow

Where would we be without our sun? Life on earth would cease to exist. That’s the scary truth. Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation is an ancient sequence used to express gratitude to the source of all forms of life on earth, our glorious sun. During this class we clear our thoughts and let breath move through us in the form of 12 energy filled postures. Sun A’s and B's increase one's creativity, mental stability, intuitive abilities and can even help to regulate bodily functions. They have also been shown to improve circulation, which aids in maintaining health and eradicating diseases. Overall improvements in the heart, liver, intestines, stomach, chest, throat and legs are benefits of Surya Namaskar.


Sweat n Sculpt

This class is a yoga party that includes elements of yoga and free weights for increased muscle sculpting. We truly find this class to be all types of crazy fun for your whole body. Join us and move through a power flow class that integrates weights to build lean muscle mass, intervals of cardio bursts, and deep core work. This class will work your body with various challenges and rock your yogi toes off with some jamming jams! If you're into testing your limits and you enjoy a lighthearted fitness based class, with proper alignment, we'll see you in SoHo's Sweat ‘n’ Sculpt!


Sweat n Stretch

This class places a strong emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breath, core strength and coordination. For the first 20-30 minutes of class you will utilize resistance bands to fire up your core in a range of exercises that can be modified from beginning to advanced. The final 30-40 minutes of class, you will flow through deep stretching and restorative postures. Regardless of your practice level, you'll find the perfect sweat and a deep stretch. This is a wonderful way to get your day started so that you feel invigorated and balanced. 


Yin to Restore

The adventure of Yin n Restore is finding your own personal freedom through detoxifying breath while unwinding the mind. You have the space to let go, unravel, spill out on the floor and heal. As the body opens and releases stress, blocked pranic energy ignites and begins to heal the body therapeutically through deep relaxation and increased circulation. We use the mighty tools of blocks, straps, bolsters, breath and Trigger Point Therapy balls (on occasion) to aid us in this journey. All students of any level are heavily encouraged to participate in this restorative practice. We all need a break from mind chatter and this is the perfect class to find a little peace.


Warrior Flow

Come here to find your inner warrior. Did you know warrior poses cultivate strength and courage? This class is built for all levels and will dive into the philosophy of Virabadrah as well as access explore the different warriors from within over the course of the month. Come explore your movement and gain a sense of strength, stability, unwavering determination, and most importantly, love.


Yin N Yang

Blending the strong energies of Yang with calming vibes of Yin, this dual energy class is designed to keep you harmonized. We will be moving through a 20-30min simple flow that will balance both sides of the body, mentally and physically. The last portion of class is a combination of deep stretching postures and restful shapes to unravel the mind and body. These restorative shapes are paired with intentional breath to focus on melting into the shapes and letting go. Your anatomical body and mind will feel balanced, content, open, and ready for whatever your world needs. Our beach classes are located on the sand off of 14th street.


Yoga Barre

This class is abnormally fun and an amazing full body workout. It’s a non-impact cardio class, that incorporates Kundalini movements to release built up stress, and is structured around traditional yoga. We have combined barre’s world of intense isometric movements and cardiovascular exercises with deep openings and lengthening from a traditional yoga practice. Your arms, legs, abdominals and booty will love you for trying this barre influenced class. Check your ego at the door and get ready to have some fun!


Yoga Flow

This progressive flow uses breath as the primary link between alternating poses and mind-body connection to warm the body and internally detoxify. With a focus on unwinding the mind, this class is a light, energizing approach to unraveling and opening the body. In this class we will work on our flexibility and a symmetrical series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. The movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is referred to as flow. Let your instructor know if you want to work on anything specific. This class is designed for all levels of yoga!


YOGA NIDRA

Need more rest? Yoga Nidra is a guided sleep meditation in Savasana, where we systematically enter the space between wakefulness and sleep. Come vacation beyond the thinking and working mind and journey inward to awaken our true potential. This effective and powerful practice has incredible benefits that inspire profound healing and stress reduction. You will leave this class feeling calm yet energized and clear. Studies show that 30 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 2 hours of deep REM. Gift yourself with the rest you deserve. This class is suitable to ALL levels. Come! You won’t regret it!


* ($10 Class)

Any class marked with an asterisk (*) is taught by SoHo Teacher Training Alumni or other recent Yoga Alliance RYT graduates. This class is based on the Hatha practice and is great for beginners, but also holds the space well for a pro yogi. This class sequence starts off with the integration of breath to movement and mindful alignment. Whether you're an intermediate or the experienced yogi, these classes will cover the basics of a slow flow or strong holding postures.
